新汉推出超高速信号设计专利创新


2019年2月27日,台湾台北-新汉(兴汉参股企业),网络通信和网络安全行业的领导者,与ITRI(工业技术研究所)、FHT(First Hi-Tec)和TUC(台湾联合技术公司)合作开发以克服高速信令设计挑战的新技术。这项创新技术将应用于电信高端网络设备,预计于2019年第二季度投入使用。

这项创新包括3项新技术,其中一种称为TUC3的新型“超低损耗”材料,而插入损耗最小可达-0.57db/inch@25Gbps。另一个被称为Coaxial VIA的发明是一种创新的技术,它通过传统的通孔(PTH)VIA来实现信号模拟。与传统PCB芯片中的中的PTH通孔相比,Coaxial VIA能够在高速信号中保持更好的信号完整性。第三个创新是用PCB FAB层状的嵌入式电容取代目前主流的SMD型电容。通过使用这种嵌入式电容,能减少50%的电路迹线,从而大大提高了信号完整性,因为它减少了很多由高速IC芯片(如Mellanox ConnectX-5等)产生的同步开关噪声。

新汉开发的3大创新的100G LAN模块由4方联合共同完成。“这三项专利创新技术可使高速信号的长度延长至14条。”新汉网络通信解决方案业务组产品线总监Matthew Liou表示,“当该模块在基于Intel Skylake EP内核的新汉 NSA7146产品中进行测试,并在新汉自己的DPDK下运行时,我们看到了令人印象深刻的吞吐量数据。我们不需要在硬件设计中添加任何中继器、重定时器和其他有效组件来保护信号完整性,即能达成期望的性能。
